Learning about Blogging
First Post - of many, hopefully!

This is a first post. I am checking out this blogging thing. I'm guessing that I'm the only one who will be reading this, except that maybe my kids & family members will check it from time to time after I tell them about it.
My hope is to record some of my thoughts here, expressing my personal feelings and beliefs, and inviting comments on them.
I also hope along the way to learn about some things that I don't understand, or don't know yet, like blogging web pages ("blog it now" eg), etc. I also don't know how to publicize my blog, to open discussions.
So here it is. Let's see what happens...
